Elizabeth smart:never lost hope

"I think he is alive," he said. "He was so young, and I feel that - maybe I'm just an eternal optimist - I always hope that someone is kidnapped or missing in life."

"I think the most important thing is to go ahead with using more force and power as possible and continue the search, continue and not give up."

Here's hoping, no matter what the odds, he was right.
